NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN

The Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group will be meeting soon to review the Landscape Assessment which was commissioned over the summer. A community volunteer has produced a wonderful document at only the cost of his ferry fare to the Isle of Wight. Footpath re-opens

The Isle of Wight Council advised that the Coastal Footpath from Thorness Bay to the Luck re-opened yesterday (1 October 2015).  The Parish Council wishes to thank the Rights of Way team at the council and the landowners for all their hard work on this.

The Parish Council has completed lease negotiations with the Isle of Wight Council and the key to the gate has now been passed to the Parish Clerk. Following the appeal by Penwood Developments, the decision was to overturn the decision of the Isle of Wight Council planning committee and formally grant planning permission on 6 July 2015.
