ALL SAINTS CHURCH
Captain Thomas Keith Hudson laid the foundation stone of the current building in November 1892, and it was consecrated by the Bishop of Winchester the following year. The architect was E P Loftus Brooke, and the builders James Ball and Sons of Cowes.
The main Nave roof was badly damaged in the storms of 1987, and the spire was refurbished in 2001.
The Church Community flourishes, and a fast growing church family has dictated the need to look for creating physical space within the confines of All Saints. A partnership with the Gurnard Methodist Church enabled the Junior Church to expand and it is hoped to provide a prefabricated building of sorts to accommodate the young people now the Methodist Hall is no longer available. Worship is modern, using the new service format provided by the Church of England. There is a strong mixed age choir, and music plays an important part in the life of the church. At the Family Service the music group offers accompaniment, and sets the style of the worship that follows.
All Saints provides warmth of fellowship and a place where everyone can come to explore the Christian Faith with confidence. Our life together expresses our desire to be a church serving the needs of the local community.
The Northwood & Gurnard team grew in 2007 with Revd Keith Adlam and Lay Minister Rita Goddard joining the team. They were welcomed, licensed and commissioned by the Archdeacon of the Isle of Wight, The Venerable Caroline Baston, acting on behalf of the Bishop of Portsmouth.

METHODIST CHURCH

Gurnard Methodist Church was founded in 1869, and was a Primative Methodist Church until Methodist Union.
An interesting event in the building's history is the fact that the Church building lost its gable end in the great storm of 1987, and was without power for several days.
Sunday services are not held any more due to falling numbers in the fellowship, and the last one took place on 6th May 2007, but the Sunday-School room at the rear continued to be available for hire to community groups, including the Parish Council, until 31st October 2007.
A proposal to sell the building was approved locally in June 2007, and this decision was confirmed by the Methodist Synod in the Autumn/Winter 2007.
