THE WATERSEDGE RESTAURANT
The Watersedge Restaurant is situated right on the beach, immediately adjacent to Gurnard Sailing Club and its slipway.
You would struggle to compete with the views available from the premises that are enhanced considerably by the close proximity of the Village Green, which rolls away to the East from the Restaurant doors.
There is seating for 26 inside with a further 30 outside.
Currently the Winter opening hours are 9am to 5.30pm, with extended opening hours in the Summer. The Proprietors also plan to experiment with evening opening at peak season.
The Restaurant is fully licensed and diners can benefit from both a fixed menu and a “specials” menu, with plated meal costs varying (in 2007) from £4.95 to £13.95. There is both a table and take away service.
Full English breakfast is only served until 11am at weekends and at other very busy times, and there is also a huge baguette and sandwich range as well as a children’s menu that is fairly priced.

THE BOWSPRIT RESTAURANT
The Bowsprit Restaurant is licensed, and is situated on Princes Esplanade at the extreme NE end of the Village and close to the Parish boundary with Cowes.
It is beautifully placed for Solent Views, with one feeling you could almost touch the water from the comfort of your dining table.
The Bowsprit doubles up as Restaurant and traditional Tea Rooms, and is served well by both local clientele and passing visitors. The interior is comfortably furnished, with the seating area appearing to be in 3 sections which hides its real size and gives it a certain ambiance. Private functions are also catered for.
Up to 50 people can be seated at one time, and Sunday lunches are a firm favourite with there often having to be 2 sittings! There is limited seating outside.
Home-baking is a speciality, so watch your waistlines! The menus are changed on a daily basis, with typical prices (Summer 2004) being in the order of:
£4 for the starter
£8/9 for the main course
£4 for the dessert.
Opening times are: 9am to 5pm Sunday -Thursday
Last orders on Friday/Saturday 8.30pm
Hours are extended in the Summer months

PORTLAND INN
The Portland Inn changed hands in December 2007 from Malcolm and Carol Van Erp to Proprietor Sue Brockwell, with Rod Hobson serving as Manager, and Sue will be building on the existing improvements to the Pub, and in fact she has already started!
The opening hours are 11am to 11pm Monday to Thursday, 11am to 11.30pm on Friday and Saturdays and noon to 10.30pm on Sundays - morning coffee, tea and cakes are always available from 11am onwards.
The vision is for the Portland Inn to be a favourite venue for both local residents and visitors to the Village, where a warm welcome is guranteed - where they can relax and meet friends whilst enjoying a good pint and, perhaps, even take part in some of the events staged at the pub, which include weekly quiz nights and live music evenings.
There is a well-stocked bar, which includes a range of fine wines, and a menu is available offering good value snacks and full meals which range in price (in 2008) from £3.50 to £8.00 - Sunday lunches are also available and food is served 7 days a week from noon to 2.30pm and from 6pm to 9pm.
Plans for 2008 include extending the dining area which will enable the pub to offer function facilities, a meeting room for community activities and a venue for viewing major sporting events through Sky Sports channels.
It is also planned to expend the garden to cater for families in the warmer months and to continue with those ever popular BBQ events!
