New member
We are delighted to welcome new council member Mrs Penny Acton who was co-opted to Gurnard Parish Council at October’s Full Council meeting, facing strong competition from 2 other worthy candidates. This was our last remaining vacancy and we look forward to working together now as a full complement.
Defibrillator Refresher Training
We still have a few limited places available to refresh or learn new skills in using an automated external defibrillator through the Ambulance service. This free training session is being held at 1.30pm on Wednesday 10th November in the Village Hall. Please contact the Clerk ASAP to book your place.
Litter Pick
We are extremely grateful to Plaza Ices for generously sponsoring the litter pick on Saturday 30th October 2021 by offering a single ice cream and flake to every participant! We are sure everyone’s contribution will make a huge difference to the village.
Old School Meadow
It was agreed this month following survey responses to go ahead and upgrade the facilities for children and families and fence off the field with net fencing to prevent dogs from entering the mud kitchen and orchard area. A working group has been set up to take project plans forward and if you would like to volunteer or get involved please contact the Clerk.
Next Parish Council Meeting
The next full Parish Council meeting will be held in the village hall at 6.30 pm on Wednesday 10th November 2021. There is always an opportunity at the start of the meeting for members of the public to make comments and ask questions. Meeting confirmation and the agenda can be found on the Parish Council notice board on Worsley Road and the Parish Council’s website www.gurnardpc.co.uk If there is anything you feel that the Parish Council could help with, please contact the Clerk to the Parish Council, Mrs. Katie Riley, telephone 07305 013718 or email: [email protected]
